Andy Gibbs - Hoping to Carry Olympic Torch
Essex Auto Group is thrilled to hear that Andy Gibbs is in the running to carry The Olympic Torch into London.
Carrying the Olympic Torch is a great honor that most people can only dream of doing.
Andy Gibbs (Help for Heroes Superstar) has now been recognised for his outstanding effort and contributions to the men and women injured in the armed forces.
The 41-year-old has raised more than £70,000 for the Armed Forces charity Help for Heroes in less than three years. Earlier this year he completed an amazing feet with two fellow colleagues, by walking from Wembley to Cardiff carrying the match ball for the England v Wales Qualifier. This Event brought in £15,000 and generated a lot of interest. Essex Auto Group was proud to be able to sponsor them on their journey by providing the support vehicle.
Essex Auto Group were so pleased with the results from this first walk, that when Andy mentioned a return walk they were excited to once again have the opportunity to help him along the way. This time Essex Auto Group are the main sponsor and will be taking a leading role in making sure that Andy has everything that he needs to maximize all opportunities in generating money for the charity.
Andy stated: "The London Olympics is for the people of London and it would be a nice finale to wear my Help for Heroes T-shirt and show other people what we've done by carrying the torch."
