A choice of two six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes is also available. Advanced Driver Recognition software monitors driving behaviour to deliver an adapted driving experience by matching the transmission to driving style, and it will also monitor driving situations to assist with control and responsiveness – just some of the intelligent ways that the new Ford Ranger thinks and acts like a car.
Safety
The new Ford Ranger is the first pick-up to be awarded a EuroNCAP five-star rating, which gives you excellent peace of mind for everyday driving. An Electronic Stability Programme helps maintain road position in difficult conditions and, as part of this, Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist come in handy if you decide to take the vehicle off road whilst travelling or on holiday.
