Ford B-Max
The new Ford B-Max concept car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in Spring 2011. The production version is expected to have its global debut at the next Geneva Motor Show in March and will remain faithful to the design of the concept version.The B-Max is based upon the Fiesta but is 11cm longer and 32cm shorter than the C-Max, making it a compact yet spacious family car. The new B-Max features an innovative new door design. Ford has done away with the B-pillar and an integrated sliding door on each side gives the car a 1.5 metre wide opening, so getting the kids seated safely will be easy.
Ford has provided the new B-Max with a wonderful sense of space. This is enhanced by the cleverly sculpted cabin and full-length panoramic sunroof. The new MPV uses features from Ford’s developing ‘kinetic’ design language. The large grille and sweeping headlights provide a dramatic front end appearance.
The new B-Max will be available with a range of engines, including a 1.0-litre, three cylinder EcoBoost turbo that features stop-start technology as standard. This is Ford’s smallest engine and will deliver outstanding fuel efficiency.
