Young Footballers Get Chance to Attend UEFA Champions League Final

As the official partner of the UEFA Champions League, Ford has launched a competition for young footballers to win the chance to take part in the opening proceedings of this year’s Champion’s League Final.

For the first time in the history of the Champion’s League, Wembley Stadium is the venue for the final and on to mark the occasion, Ford is hosting a local five-a-side football tournament at Dagenham & Redbridge FC. On Saturday 7th May, 16 boys’ and 16 girls’ teams of youngsters aged between 14 and 16 will compete against each other to win a unique opportunity to share the Wembley pitch with their footballing heroes.

The winners will also be able to display the famous ‘Starball’ Banner before kick-off on Saturday 28th May. Ford of Britain’s marketing director, Mark Simpson, said,

“After 19 years, Ford remains proud of its position as a founding partner of the UEFA Champions League. This year, Ford celebrates its centenary year and is delighted to offer youth teams from Dagenham area the chance to win a place at Wembley's first ever Champions League final.”

Adults who are involved with youth football can also enter the competition. Coaches, teachers or parents who have a team based in their local area can enter online before midday on Tuesday 26th April at www.fordchampions.co.uk.
