Essex Auto Group - First Impressions Count!

What you need is a COLIN! Colin Sickler, aged 58 is a Customer Liason Officer at Essex Auto Group Rayleigh. Formely a chauffeur  20 years. but now working for the Essex Auto Group for the past 5 years,
Colin makes it his daily task to look after customers. His main function is to meet & greet and assist customers at the point they drive into the dealership, so he is often the first person a customer sees when they arrive and the last as they leave.

A couple of months ago a Customer Specialist / Trainer visited our Rayleigh dealership and had the pleasure of being 'COLINED', Says Sindy, "l drove into the car park and was immediately greeted by an extremely well presented gentleman, who introduced himself as Colin".
"Good Afternoon madam, how can I help you?"enquired Colin.
"l'm here to meet the Service Manager", she replied
"Let me find you a parking space or would you like me to park the car for you" offered Colin.

Colin did find a parking space for Sindy but that was not all, minutes later having reported into Reception
to inform the Service Manager that she had arrived, Sindy sat in the waiting area, when suddenly Colin
appeared again saying "So, how do you take your coffee? "WOW, now that was impressivel

Having not been to the site before this visitor had received an excellent first impression of customer service at the dealership:an impression that would not only last, but drove Sindy to want to get her experiance published.

We've tracked down Colin and asked him why he thinks he is so good at customer handling and where he
learnt to be the way he is.

"l think it is being bought up properly by parents," said Colin, "and my many years as a chauffer, where
being polite was an essential part of the job "His job at Essex Auto Group was originally confined to helping
customers to park their vehicles, but he said, he wanted to do more than that and started to expand his role. He admits that what he was looking for was an opportunity to get greater satisfaction from his work and at the same time provide a better service for customers.
