Accidents can be stressful, and Essex Ford aims to help you get your Ford car back on the road as soon after the accident as possible, with minimum fuss.
When you contact us, we will be considerate and helpful when giving you an appointed estimate or arranging a recovery. Once our vehicle assessor has created the estimate, you can then decide whether it will be an insurance claim, a third party claim or a private claim. Regardless of the make or model of your vehicle, or which insurance company you use, Essex Auto Group can have you back on the road as quickly as possible with minimum inconvenience to you.
We aim to provide you with the following, after an accident:
• A replacement vehicle (subject to your insurance terms & conditions)
• An estimate f the damages and costs by an experienced estimator
• An in-depth, fully itemised appraisal, prepared using the latest visual imaging systems
• On approval, our highly trained technicians, panel beaters & paint sprayers will carry out any work needed on your vehicle
• Restoration of your vehicle back to factory standard using the latest equipment
• A final check with a courtesy wash and vacumn.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will the repair take?
Due the nature of body repairs, most repairs have a minimum duration of 5 days. Any quotation for repair duration is dependent on replacement parts availability and is therefore subject to change.
Do I need to pay anything?
If we are repairing your vehicle based on a private estimate, payment will be due on completion of the repairs.
If we are repairing your vehicle on behalf of your insurers, we are required by them to collect any policy excess payment prior to releasing the vehicle to you (we will advise you of any excess payments required before and during the repair)
NB: If you are VAT registered you will be liable for the VAT element of the repair.
Do I get a Courtesy Vehicle?
Depending on your contract of insurance, some companies require us to supply a courtesy vehicle, we will advise you of this, and we will require to see your driving license (original not copies and both parts are required if a photo type license)
We are only obliged to provide small vehicles. If this is not satisfactory please contact / liaise with your insurers. If you are not entitled to a courtesy vehicle we can put you on to a local hire Car Company where you will benefit from preferential rates.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes - we guarantee all of our workmanship for 12 months and are happy to discuss any concerns you may have about your repair be it private or via your insurance.
