Essex Mazda Celebrates Tenth Anniversary

Essex Mazda in Rayleigh has held a special ceremony to officially celebrate 10 years as a Mazda dealer. The Stadium Way showroom was visited by Mazda Franchising and Network Development Manager, Brett Hague, who presented the dealership with a special plaque to mark the milestone anniversary.

Hague commented: “I’m delighted to be presenting a 10-year service plaque to Essex Mazda, and wish to thank them for their contribution to the growth of the Mazda brand in Britain. We look forward to our continued partnership with the Essex Auto Group.”

Mike Brown, Dealer Principal of Essex Mazda said: “We’re proud to have been working with Mazda UK for the last decade and will continue to invest in our dealership. Now is an exciting time to be working with the famous Japanese brand. Following the recent arrival of the new Mazda6 and the upcoming launch of the all-new Mazda3 – we’ve got a lot to look forward to across the next 10 years!”

Hague was joined at the Stadium Way dealership by Chris Larholt, Regional Business Manager for Mazda. From the dealership, Mike and Philip Maskell, Chairman of the Essex Auto Group, accepted the prestigious award on behalf of the company.

In 1989, Maskell founded the company which has continued to grow ever since – with the Essex Mazda showroom opening in November 2003. As an integral part of the community, the dealership regularly sponsors local sports teams from Southend United and Essex County Cricket to local teams and schools.

The anniversary comes just before the all-new Mazda3, with its fuel-saving innovative SKYACTIV technology, lands in the Essex Mazda dealership. Arriving in Mazda showrooms across the UK in mid-December, the new car will go on sale in the New Year, priced from £16,695 (on-the-road).
