Essex Auto Group Supporting F1 Cub Camp – 5-7th Feb 2010
Essex Auto Group Sponsored the 8th Hornchurch Cub Scout Pack. 25 eager cubs went along to Belchamps Scout Centre in Hockley campsite for a F1 themed winter camp. On the Friday evening the scouts painted and decorated the four hand-made wooden go carts ready for assembly and racing on the Saturday.
Proudly wearing their new Ford baseball caps which were donated by Essex Auto Group, the cubs participated in a number of physical challenges and races throughout the day. In addition to the cart racing the cubs also made cones and flags that would be needed around the track. All weekend activities were based around racing and encouraging the cubs to ‘do their best’.
Certificates were handed out to the winning F1 team and 2010 calendars donated by Ford’s Motorsport team were given to all cubs. Despite the cold weather the cubs had a fantastic weekend as you can see by the attached photo.
