Essex Auto Group has scooped a gold award for Use Of Video For Business at the inaugural Essex Digital Awards. We also earned a commendation for our website.
The first digital awards ceremony specifically aimed at businesses in the county celebrated an amazing array of innovative design and development, including categories for mobile apps, social media, online marketing, and responsive websites.
The awards were established by web designer Andy Pritchard and former journalist Iain Johnson. Mr Pritchard said: “There is so much effort going into producing great websites for business, schools and charities, and we think Essex is one of the most forward-thinking, entrepreneurial counties within the UK. It's time that fact was recognised."
Essex Auto Group was entered into two categories and successfully made it to the five-strong shortlists in March.
The shortlists were decided by a panel of independent judges made up of industry experts from some of the best known companies in the world, such as the BBC, Sky, Live Nation, and the Universal Music Group. They described the standard of the nominees as “highly impressive" as it represented “a real cross-section of companies, schools and charities".
The awards ceremony was held at the Ivory Rooms in Billericay on April 24th when EAG marketing director Matt Brown collected the gold award and later carried off the commendation for our website too. Essex Auto Group regularly uploads original content to YouTube, but the use of video does not stop there. Our videos are published on many platforms – such as our website, Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest – to help customers get the information they need.
Mr Johnson said: “"To have a room full of so much talent from so many outstanding and worthy businesses, charities and schools was truly amazing. Plans are already underway for Essex Digital Awards 2015 and we're aiming very high once again".
They're not the only ones.
The Essex Digital Awards has been called “The Benchmark for Online Business" in the county. EAG will certainly use this as a measure from which to do our online activities even better!
