Ford Mobility Open Days

Essex Ford Presents Ford Mobility Open Days

Essex Ford is hosting Ford Mobility Open Days between 2nd and 5th November, so if you’re eligible for a Motability allowance why not consult their highly experienced Motability specialists? With the widest range of vehicles, nothing to pay up front on many models and no running costs other than fuel, it makes sense to find out why Ford has been the best brand for Motability since 2012.

Motability is the UK’s leading car scheme for disabled people. It provides affordable, convenient, worry-free motoring to over 630,000 disabled customers and their families. The Scheme is available to anyone who receives the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance, the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment or the War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement. Customers then transfer their mobility allowance to Motability to lease a car.

With Motability, customers get a brand-new car every three years. Essex Ford contacts them a few months before their lease expires, and if they decide to continue with Motability, they can choose a car for their next three-year contract (provided they are still eligible). Most drivers choose contract hire as they find it's the best option to obtain and pay for a new car. They like the convenience of a single, regular payment that includes comprehensive insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover, plus with the contract hire package they don’t need to drive. They can nominate up to two drivers who may be friends or relatives, and parents or carers can apply on behalf of a child aged three years and upwards.

Leasing a Motability car gives customers the freedom to make many adaptations that can have a significant effect on their mobility. Popular features include an adjustable steering column, parking sensors, a Ford Power Starter Button ignition, push-pull hand controls, left-foot accelerators, an electric hoist to lift powered wheelchairs and scooters into the car, swivel seats, easy-release handbrakes, pedal extensions, steering wheel balls, infrared controls, keyless entry, and hands-free tailgates. It all adds up to a hassle-free route to adapted motoring!

Essex Ford is part of Essex Auto Group, which won the accolade of Best Dealer Website in the 2015 national Motability Dealer Awards, recognising them for providing outstanding customer service within the Motability Car Scheme. The Motability Dealer Awards programme is designed to reward best practice and ensure all Motability customers receive exemplary customer service across the nationwide car dealer network. The Awards are judged on how a dealer delivers the Scheme to customers and is assessed by customer feedback and reviews.

Essex Ford has helped disabled people and their carers get on the road for over 25 years. Each of our five dealership locations has a dedicated Motability specialist who can answer your queries and make the process as easy as possible. Our specialist staff have been trained by Motability and can assist at all stages of the application process, from choosing which model best suits your needs to home visits, test drives, and completing paperwork.

Ford’s models bristle with state-of-the-art technology and show the kind of dazzling design and performance that have made the Fiesta and Focus the best-selling cars in Britain in recent years. The EcoSport, Kuga and Edge SUVs, plus the B-MAX, C-MAX and S-MAX, also offer the very best in practicality and flexibility, so if you’re looking for a Motability car, why not see what Essex Ford has to offer during their Open Days?
