The New Transit Connect comes with a sophisticated new look, comprehensively updated interior and more
advanced technology than the previous model, Fords New Transit Connect has stepped up!.
The new face of business
All of the Transit family are renowned for toughness, durability and functionality and the new Connect is no exception!
Ford SYNC 3 is an advanced system that enables you to stay connected and control your phone, music and navigation system. You can choose either voice commands or use the 6” colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive navigation.
The Load-through Bulkhead is on all van versions with a dual front passenger seat, an ingenious design lets you carry items up to 3m long in a short wheelbase van (L1) and up to 3.4m in a long wheel-base model (L2). The bulkhead has a flip-up hatch at the bottom, which you can slide long items through and into a storage area beneath the front passenger seats. Behind the bulkhead, there’s room for two Euro-pallets (in L1) or up to four 8’ x 4’ sheets of material (in L2).
The Transit Connect is available with FordPass Connect modem††, a system designed to make every journey more enjoyable. It enables a range of features, including Wi-Fi‡‡
for up to ten devices, so passengers can load their favourite streaming
service and make those long journeys fly by. Plus
real-time traffic updates delivered straight to your in-car satnav.
The New Transit Connect now comes with Intelligent Speed Assist, designed to enhance your speed control and enabling you to concentrate on the road. First, the Traffic Sign Recognition camera automatically detects the current speed limit (when activated), then the system adjusts your maximum speed setting to that limit. (option)
Pre-Collision Assist detects vehicles and pedestrians in the road ahead. It can even detect pedestrians that may be about to cross the vehicle’s path. The system warns you if it detects a potential collision and if you don’t respond it will automatically apply the brakes. This technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents, or help avoid them altogether, and functions at speeds of up to 50mph (80kmh).
Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your vehicle’s progress. It senses when it’s losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels, helping to stabilise it. Using advanced sensors from the anti-lock braking and Traction Control System it monitors the behaviour of the vehicle.
